Modules are designed for B1 level and above.

We choose to focus on vocabulary and functional language instead of grammar, because we want to introduce you to words and phrases that you can use straight away in your classroom.

No, it's not. Because the modules focus on English as a mode of delivery, CLIL teachers will also find them useful.

We have a slightly different approach to language development. Rather than a linear approach or level-based approach, we have adopted a topic-based approach. We have also made sure our modules are bitesize, so you can fit them around your busy schedule, and can complete them in your own time.

No, we have deliberately designed them as individual modules that can be studied in any order or on their own.

We recommend you choose by topic. So, if you know that you find giving instructions in English difficult, that module will give you some words and phrases to make giving instructions easier.

Each module follows the same format. There is a short video to introduce the topic, then a video to explore this topic and look at some relevant vocabulary and phrases. This is followed by a vocabulary quiz to check meaning, and then a listening comprehension task where you will hear a teacher dealing with this particular classroom issue. After this, we look at some useful functional language from the listening, and there is an optional pronunciation practice task you can do with personalised feedback.

Our vocab quizzes are multiple choice, and give you the chance to guess the meaning of words and phrases in context. We also have multiple choice comprehension tasks for the listening sections. Our interactive chat task helps you to explore some functional phrases and practise writing them, and the final task is an optional pronunciation activity on WhatsApp. This is a chance to get personalised feedback from a tutor!
